Oh, Sweet! “The Beehive” Opens in Fairfield
Typically, one wants to keep their distance from hives – but this one you’ll be drawn to like a bear to honey! Fairfield’s newest boutique, The Beehive, opened last week and it’s filled with the sweetest selection of gift items you could imagine. Owner Sandra Tobey, a Fairfield resident by way of Texas, Los Angeles, and New York City, (bees never fly in a straight line, do they!?) has stocked the expertly curated shop with an eye for emerging trends and designers. The former ad exec turned retailer said that she always dreamed of owning a retail shop and in The Beehive, she’s truly found her niche.
With a hip, urban vibe in an all-white industrial space (think Williamsburg, Brooklyn meets suburban Connecticut) the shop is filled with unique items for the home, jewelry and handbags from local designers, stationary, fun party goods, too-cute-for-words baby gifts, and there’s even something for Fido – and best of all, the prices don’t sting!
Here’s a peek at a few of the items off the deco-inspired shelves in Tobey’s shop. Warning: You’re going to want to give (and get) everything on this list…
