Fall In Love Online @ VisibleInterest

|

xolaurenchisolm (1)Valentine’s Day is rapidly approaching and if you don’t start dropping hints now, you’re going to be unwrapping a toaster instead of something you really want (like jewelry).  Tip off your significant other by forwarding him a link to VisibleInterest.com, a newly launched online jewelry boutique that brings together a tightly edited collection of modern, handmade pieces from several Fairfield County designers and artisans from around the country. With prices starting at a shockingly affordable $45 and ranging into the thousands, there’s something for every budget (enter FAIRFIELD2014 at checkout and save 10% on all but one-of-a-kind styles through February 7, 2014!).

The site, founded by former marketing and ad exec (and admitted fashion junkie) Sue Haxager Kunze late last year, presents designers who collectively share a modern, sophisticated aesthetic – yet all remain entirely unique in their execution. Each artist’s fashion and fine jewelry pieces combine a bit of glam with a bit of edge and an uptown/downtown sensibility that contemporary Fairfield County women will immediately connect with. Kunze says that by purposely focusing on one aesthetic, clients avoid being overwhelmed with a mix of incongruous styles, making it easier to find many pieces to love.

Along with sharply on-trend fashion baubles, the site also offers up the opportunity to shop the VI Exclusives collection: limited edition and one-of-a-kind pieces that were conceived and created exclusively for VisibleInterest.com. What’s more, Kunze says, it’s personal, “There really is something special about a piece of jewelry that has an actual individual behind it, someone who first conceived of the design and then made the piece themselves.” We wholeheartedly agree!

Below are our Valentine’s Day gift selections from VisibleInterest.com. All the pieces below are designed by our own-uber talented Fairfield County artisans. Note that as each piece is handmade, there is a lead-time necessary for some pieces. All orders must be received by the first week in February to be received in time for February 14.

Lauren Chisholm (Darien): Also a fine artist, Lauren’s jewelry features the clean lines and geometry of the Mid-Century Modern movement. All of her pieces are made by hand using precious metals and gemstones. Lauren’s signature is a contrasting 18K gold ball that is playfully incorporated into the design of each piece. For V-Day, any of Lauren’s XO pendants would be perfect. XO1 is my favorite. Her Single Ray Earrings with Pink and Red Topaz are thematic as well.

Scott Cusson Ebony Shield Necklace

Scott Cusson (New Canaan): Scott is a master fine jeweler and all of his pieces on the site are part of the VI Exclusives, limited edition or one-of-a-kind stunners that are only available from Visible Interest. Each piece is made by hand and is more dreamy than the next. Definitely an exclusive treat.

Created by A Gold Three-Line Pendant Necklace

Created by A (Darien): The work of Allison Vodola, Created by A is a fun, color-filled fashion line that features a lot of on-trend Druzy stones. All pieces are made by hand.

sacred_heart_black_garnet_2__80075.1380734644.1000.1200Brother Wolf (Darien): The Brother Wolf Collection brings a luxe and edgy approach to spiritual jewelry. Based off vintage images from Europe and Latin America, Brother Wolf pieces are hand cast in Silver and 14K Gold and incorporate funky chains and gemstones to bring a high fashion look to traditional virtue jewelry. Their Sacred Heart Medallion or Seven Sorrow Sacred Heart Choker are both interesting takes on Valentine’s Day pieces and represent the virtue of Love.
