NY Yankees Bring Youth Summer Camp to Norwalk

|

Jeter’s retiring at the end of the season – clearing a spot on the Yankees roster for your little slugger.  If you think your superstar has pro-potential (doesn’t everyone?) sign up for a week of New York Yankees Youth Summer Camp.  This year, the Yankees are bringing their program to Norwalk’s Brian McMahon High School during the week of August 18-22.

The camp offers boys and girls ages 5-13 the ultimate Major League experience that includes top-notch baseball instruction by professional coaches, an official New York Yankee uniform (hat, jersey, pants, socks. belt), a field trip to Yankee Stadium on a major league charter bus with an exclusive tour of the ball park, and a 45 minute meet and greet with a current player on the Yankees roster.

The camp curriculum is specific to the campers’ age and ability with special focus on fielding, hitting, and pitching.  Aside from considerable experience on the field, coaches are all motivators and teachers with goals that stretch beyond teaching the game of baseball. Through all-camper assemblies and daily individual and teamwork challenges, coaches strive to teach the core values of leadership, teamwork, and effort over results.

Camp hours are 9-3, Monday-Friday with after-care available.  For more information, visit their website: http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/nyy/fan_forum/baseball_academy.jsp
