A Taste of Scotland: Single Malt Scotch Whisky

 Rowayton Arts Center — March 15 … 7:00 p.m.

Warm up a winter’s evening by enjoying “A Taste of Scotland: Single Malt Scotch Whisky” at the Rowayton Arts Center. Cameron Letters, a native of the auld country with a passion for the Uisge Beatha (Water of Life), will lead participants in an exploration of single malt scotch as they sample five of the finest single malts from the whisky-producing regions of Scotland.

This benefit event is limited to 25 participants and admission is $30. Reservations are required by calling the RAC office at 203-866-2744. Proceeds from the tasting, which is sponsored by White Bridge Wines & Spirits, will help support RAC educational programs. Bread with olive oil for dipping plus pastry from Wave Hill Breads will complement the tasting.

Letters says, “The tasting will provide participants with a good knowledge of what makes the single malt unique.  In addition to discovering the history of the wee dram, how it’s made, regional variations and what defines a single malt scotch, participants will learn the natural ingredients that give single malt scotch its character and how to best enjoy this unique beverage.”
