Members of the Connecticut Little Symphony will perform at Trinity Episcopal Church in Southport, Connecticut, Saturday, May 11th, 2013, at 8:00 p.m. The concert will feature the music of Dvorak, Nino Rota, Eugene Bozza, and Vincent Persichetti. The performance includes the Dvorak Serenade, Op. 44, for winds and strings. Trinity Episcopal Church is located at 651 Pequot Avenue.
The symphony (which is essentially a chamber music group), includes alumni from Juilliard, Yale, Eastman, Moscow Conservatory, and the Manhattan School of Music. Members have performed with the New York Philharmonic, Chappaqua Orchestra, Dallas Symphony, Birmingham Symphony, Greenwich, Stamford, Bridgeport and New Haven Symphonies, as well as numerous chamber music groups and Broadway shows throughout the area.
Performers will include: Maxim Pakhomov, Dorothy Darlington, Rosemary Dellinger, Ray Guier, Marjorie Callaghan, Dennis Hyde, Mary Olsson, Bruce Kimball, Janet Atherton, Cheryl Labrecque, Marc Wager, Kerry Walker, and Joshua Hall.
