Excavation: Recent Photographs By Stanley Greenberg

1365453159_thumbThere’s only a few days left for you to head to the Bellarmine Museum of Art at Fairfield University to experience a very cool and unique art showcase – Excavation.

This photography exhibit, with its accompanying catalogue and related programming, focuses on critically acclaimed photographer Stanley Greenberg’s quest to walk every street in Manhattan, documenting the typologies – including the interstices – that he encounters as he combs the entire island in search of remnants of a forgotten urban past.

Featuring eight large format black and white images and forty-eight smaller color photographs arranged by typologies (Little Streets – Rocks – Buttresses – Empty Space – Off Grid), Excavation will introduce its audiences to a whole new way of engaging with Manhattan. Free and open to the public.
