Come celebrate Independence Day with the Norwalk Historical Society on the Fourth!
Sign up for a walking tour of the Norwalk Green or simply enjoy an open house around the park, followed by a bell-ringing ceremony and musical performance by the Crystal Theatre Singers.
Noon-1:30pm: Open House at Mill Hill Historic Park which includes, tours with costumed interpreters of the three historic buildings, Little Red School House-1826, Governor Fitch Law Office-1740 and theTown House-1835. The Secret Norwalk Juried Art Exhibition in the Town House Museum.
Noon: A Revolutionary War Walking Tour of Historic Norwalk Green and Neighborhood will be led by historians Ed and Madeleine Eckert. Walking Tour Rain Date, Sunday, July 7th. 1:30pm: Let Freedom Ring Bell-Ringing Ceremony will feature Town Clerk Rick McQuaid, who will read the Declaration of Independence.
2:15pm: Town House program includes, musical performance by Crystal Theatre Singers and “Did YouKnow? Little Known Facts About Norwalk During the American Revolution” . Theme: “Stories of Historic Norwalk Green & Neighborhood”. Reception following.
