Dave Mason

1370961119_thumbCome to the Levitt Pavilion For The Performing Arts this Saturday, July 6th, for a performance by rock legend Dave Mason!

English-born David Thomas “Dave” Mason, first found fame with the rock band Traffic. In his long career, Mason has played and recorded with many of the era’s most notable pop and rock musicians, including Michael Jackson, Jimi Hendrix, Delaney Bramlett, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Fleetwood Mac, Steve Winwood, and Cass Elliot.

Mason’s best known song is “Feelin’ Alright”, recorded by Traffic and later by many other performers, including Joe Cocker, who had a major hit with the song in the early 70’s. For Traffic, he also wrote “Hole in My Shoe”, a psychedelic pop song that became a hit in its own right. “We Just Disagree”, Mason’s solo hit written by Jim Krueger, has become a staple of Classic Hits and Adult Contemporary radio playlists. In 2004, Mason was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a founding member of Traffic.

This is Dave’s 3rd appearance here; back by popular demand! The proceeds from this convert will help to underwrite the free music and performances at the Levitt Pavilion on this Green this summer.
