The Stamford Museum and Nature Center is holding it’s popular “break out day” with a Maple Sugar Open House. Bring the family and find out how the sugaring season is progressing. You will discover how maple syrup was made in the past and how a modern evaporator is used today to make this sweet treat. Your family can also learn how to collect sap and to tap maple trees.
Afterwards, feel free to take a winter farm tour to see how all the spring babies have grown over the year. Your visit can be concluded with an afternoon craft and then a gathering around the campfire for some delicious s’mores!
