Some Environmental Fun

|

Do you have young ones at home save the planetdying to find a way to spend their time productively? Do you wish your kids knew more about our environment and cared more as well? With spring break on the horizon, you can engage your child in green activities at the Westport Historical Society. Starting Tuesday, April 15, kids ages 5 to 11 can take part in a three-day workshop where they will learn how to be caretakers of the environment as well as how to repurpose recyclables that are normally thrown away.

“We’ve had a horrible winter, and this will be a new beginning,” said the Society’s Education Director, Elizabeth DeVoll. The workshop runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday through Thursday. What a great way to get the kids primed for Earth Day! So be sure to save the date for this exciting three-day program!
