Renditions of Real or Imagined Places

The Stamford Art Association presents the exhibit “Far Away Places,” on view through August 21 at the gallery on Franklin Street in Stamford, located FarAway2014around corner from the UCONN Stamford Campus.  The juried multimedia exhibit features 40 artists in their renditions of real or imagined places. The exhibit is open to the public with free admission.  The juror was Duvian Montoya, the well known Connecticut based artist and public art muralist. The first place prize went to Kirsti Holtan for her work titled “Parisian Selfie.”

Established in 1971, the Stamford Art Association is a nonprofit organization whose members include painters, sculptors, printmakers, and photographers. The association is a neighborhood arts organization which provides a forum where emerging and professional artists can exhibit their work to the community and compete in juried shows.
