GE announces $7.5 million investment in UConn

General Electric Co. announced Tuesday it would provide $7.5 million in funds to the University of Connecticut for research, student fellowships and to endow a professorship in the school of engineering. Company, state and university officials held a press conference to announce the partnership which will last for five years.
