The International Affairs office for the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development says there is government funding to help state businesses attend an energy conference in Germany and the Paris Airshow this year.
The State Trade and Export Promotion program provides funding to help small businesses increase their exports and the shows in Hanover, Germany in April, and the Paris Airshow, in June qualify for funding.
Hanover Messe, held this year from April 8 to 12, is an international trade show on energy and Connecticut is looking for fuel cell related businesses to attend. It will cost a firm $106 per square foot plus a co-location fee for the shared exhibits space.
The Paris Airshow is being held June 17-20 and is much more expensive. Exhibit space is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost per exhibit is $10,000.
DECD says qualifying businesses can receive up to $5,000 in reimbursements for the show.
