AAA: Gas prices falling

|

Gas prices have fallen off substantially since this photo was taken at the rest stop along Interstate 95 in Milford on July 16, 2013.

The national average gas price has been in decline for over a month, according to AAA.

As of Sunday, the average price paid by Americans for an unleaded gallon was $3.35.

Of course, in Connecticut, gas is a bit more expensive, but the state has seen a similar decline in gas prices.

On Aug. 1, gas was well over $3.90 a gallon, but today, it’s down to $3.75.

What does it all mean? According to the Associated Press, there are a number of reasons for the decline, including decreased demand and the shift to cheaper gas for the winter.
