Prospective small business owners looking for tips on creating marketing plans and procuring financing can turn to the Ferguson Library over the next few weeks, as the library’s Small Business Central presents a series of events focusing on issues entrepreneurs face. A loan officer from the Connecticut Economic Development fund will be on hand during the program on alternative funding to discuss financial options for small businesses, including requirements and how to apply for a loan.
The programs are made possible by a grant from the First County Bank Foundation. The workshops are as follows:
Simple Steps to Starting a Business: Wednesdays at 6 p.m. Check-in begins at 5:30 p.m. Online registration required.

November 20: Securing Funding and Next Steps (third floor auditorium)
