CCI completes energy conversion

Castleton Commodities International, a Stamford-based energy solutions provider, announced that one of its units, CCI Energy Solutions, has completed its first energy conversion project in New York City by partnering with Services for the UnderServed, a New York-based non-profit organization that supports individuals and families facing challenging life situations.
The conversion to natural gas has been performed at no upfront cost to SUS and is expected to reduce its annual energy costs by more than 40 percent.
CCIES is a joint venture between CCI and Chesapeake Energy, the second-largest producer of natural gas in the nation. CCIES’s energy efficiency solutions are designed to advance New York City’s clean heat laws and initiatives, which require more than 9,000 residential and commercial buildings to convert to cleaner-burning fuel alternatives over the next two decades
CCIES’ approach allows building owners to finance the conversion of heating systems to natural gas and implement other energy efficiency measures with no upfront investment.
CCI (formerly Louis Dreyfus Highbridge Energy) is a global commodities merchant with an integrated set of operations consisting of the marketing and merchandising of commodities and the ownership, operations and development of commodities-related upstream and infrastructure assets.
