The awards came for “distinctive overall satisfaction in service,” the bank said.

That award was bestowed on just 34 of 750 banks of all sizes that were evaluated, the release said.

Webster Bank earned honors in the National Overall Client Satisfaction and Northeast Regional Overall Client Satisfaction categories.

The awards are based on interviews with nearly 14,000 middle market companies from across the country. Selected banks received a score of 95 percent or better of “excellent” ratings above the average.
