"I must be seeing things/Oh no it can't be true"

Well, Paul’s right again: Rob Collins is back from the Islanders, making it “just” eight players up in the show. And that’s the only reason they could practice with three full lines today.

Update: Bridgeport’s bringing in D Chris Barr and C Jeff Miles on PTOs.

Paul also mentioned the idea that the boys in the show are getting some good experience, playing some good teams in preparation for the playoffs. You may well be right.

Patch (and I cannot possibly express why I’m so stoked to have someone with that name commenting, nor explain it here on the blog) was looking for help getting through to the mayor’s office… My joke answer is that they don’t listen to me, either. Honestly, all I can tell you is to keep trying, unless one of these people can help you better… Mayor’s office is a little out of my expertise, really.

A rotating American city was wondering about who’ll dress for the playoffs. I’m kind of wondering the same thing. Obviously, a lot is going to depend on who gets healthy here in the next week and a half. But if they’re all ready to go… O’Marra has a job, in large part because he’s a natural centerman, so that bounces a “regular.” Which one? That’s a tough call. It’s similar on D. (Short answer? “I dunno.”) It’s possible that the last few games will tell a lot.

I’ll stop back tonight to update the playoff picture… if I can pry myself away from the TV. There’s a free preview this week of the NHL and MLB packages. Stayed up last night watching a little LA-Anaheim. Sitting here now watching the Indians and the White Sox.

Meanwhile, Farewell to the Rockville Rocket, Gene Pitney, who gave my Mom an autograph at Freedomland back in the day.

Yes, we’re gonna let the world and all of its troubles
A-go-a-right on a-spinnin’ by
We’re gonna build one dream up on another
Clear up to the sky…

RIP.
