CFA, Day what, 4?

Losing track already.

Our man Corey Witt from the Isles’ PR department has a bit on the rookie game in Moncton, in which Martin Frechette had the only kiddies’ goal in a 3-1 loss to Rutgers the University of New Brunswick. Corey calls out Jamie Fraser as “the best player on the ice for either team.” Mike Mole made 29 saves. Kimber had the expected roster in his early notes. Up top, the big club lost in overtime. Matthew Spiller scored two goals, which is one-quarter of his regular-season career total.

Otherwheres, Philly nips Lowell in the AHL preseason opener. Interesting question: Can Bill Belichick deduct his fine from his income taxes? (via: WSJ.) And the Sharks have the last design out in the NHL, and I’m torn over the little orangey stripes — but that’s about all.
