Camp, Day 3: Game Day

“I love hockey. Lots of aggression. Tons of blood. Wanna guess who my favorite team is?” –The Devil, Reaper (Wow, hockey in a production directed by Kevin Smith?)

If you’re blowing off Stamford to go to Lowell, you’ll see Tim Jackman, Ben Walter, Gordie Dwyer, Frans Nielsen and Joey MacDonald. They’re on their way up to play tonight for the Islanders. They skated with the 20 guys who’ll play tonight for the Sound Tigers — a group that, by the way, is exactly what was posted on the Sound Tigers’ site a couple of days ago, except goalie A.J. Bucchino will play instead of Mike Mole.

Sounds like Saturday’s Islanders-Devils game will include a lot of imminent Sound Tigers. No specifics yet, though.

Filth in Ottawa last night, as Steve Downie leaps to knock Dean McAmmond out. Let’s hope no one ever again tries “to earn a spot on a roster” like this.

Check out who was on The Daily Show. (Also, check out the old Canadian flag about two-thirds of the way through.)

And Dollar Bill Wirtz has died. May he rest in peace… and maybe his team will do so no longer.
