Devils’ Due

While the big club lost 2-1 on a couple of power-play goals, the Sound Tigers lost 3-2 to Lowell. Just talked to Jack Capuano for a few minutes; he said they got outshot 13-1 in the first period but finished with a 30-25 edge.

“We got a little bit of a slow start. The kids now have been playing a lot of hockey, a lot for the New York Islanders’ team,” Capuano said. “We can’t fault the effort.”

Justin Bourne scored short-handed from Tyler Haskins, and Steve Regier deflected in a power-play goal from Jamie Fraser and Andrew MacDonald, Capuano said. Mike Mole and Maxime Ouellet split the game, and they’ll split again tomorrow at Cromwell.

Hoping to have the full box in a little bit. I’ll toss it on here if so, though it might be late when I get it posted. Edit: looks like tomorrow, if we do get it at all.

Here’s Jonathan Bombulie‘s Darcy Robinson story.

Adding: And condolences to the Nolan family. This has been one sad week.

And finally: The Phillies’ magic number is… two?
