Dread not

The Sound Tigers thought back to that game eight days ago in Hershey: They wanted to do to the Bears what the Bears had done to them, Joey MacDonald said, to come out strong and grab the lead.

Best of all for Bridgeport, the Sound Tigers kept going once they’d done that. Big shots advantage (15-3)? Check. Lead? Check. Now turn it on?

Bentivoglio and Regier crash the net for rebounds, “going to the ugly areas” the way Capuano had said the other night.

There’s the old joke about the dreaded three-goal lead, but the Sound Tigers needed one, to take a big lead and put a game away, if only for their peace of mind. They got it. They kept it.

Madness ensues, but not in the Bridgeport zone….

Jamie Fraser missed about 10 minutes or so with a broken skate blade. Funny enough, Tambellini goes to the point in his stead and scores. Figure this game out sometimes.

We’d probably need a translator, anyway, but Morency says his conversations with Robitaille were unprintable.

Blake Comeau proves once again you do not want to make him mad.

New blimp in between periods. Who smells disaster?

Want a picture of a very young Dave Baseggio and the last New Haven Nighthawks team? It’s all about eBay.

Interesting stuff on both our man Steve Valiquette and some history in this Damien Cox piece.

Added some notes on some recent comments. We’re getting some good stuff from the league office on one comments thread…

And finally, on Veterans Day or Rememberance Day or however you want to celebrate it: Thank you…
