Not since the Marshall era

Two lines Tuesday remained Tambellini-Walter-Bates and Bentivoglio-Nielsen-Regier, which brings about something new: The Sound Tigers have played 49 games since Nov. 26, 2006, in which both Nielsen and Tambellini were in the lineup. Tomorrow will be the first time since then that they won’t begin the game on the same line. (Those: Nilsson-Nielsen-Boguniecki; Tambellini-scratched Ogorodnikov-Marjamaki.)

Konstantin Kalmikov is an Ice Pilot. Hamden’s Jon Quick got called up to Manchester; the Monarchs also call up Cole Jarrett’s brother Patrick. Norfolk shook up the defense, as the Lightning trade Bryce Lampman to Dallas for Mario Scalzo.

Edit: The finals of the AHL logo tournament are on. It’s Manitoba vs. Bridgeport.

The Forechecker goes all Pythagorean (note: embedded video plays, turn your volume down) and finds that the Islanders are the most overachieving club so far based on goals for vs. goals against. (We might try our version again in a few weeks.)

Sorry for the late post. Had to do some IT stuff for the folks. But they picked up dinner for me. They ordered sandwiches and asked their waitress for a meatball with cheese to go. She came back with a tin containing a meatball, with cheese…
