We had the door covered. Really. There were four of us. There was no real way he could have gotten out. We saw him put on his coat. We saw him go in the back. And then we never saw him again.

We know Jeff Tambellini left. We’re just not sure how.

The goals’ “how” were easier: Short-handed on a three-on-one, used his shot, got a good bounce. Nice pass from Bentivoglio and a great shot short-side. And crash the net and bounce it in off the goaltender’s pad.

The Sound Tigers escaped from the weekend with a couple of wins, and they escaped from last place. And Blake Comeau got the call up afterward, so it seems to have been a successful weekend for some guys, anyway.

The Orange Edges returned. The blue-helmet, white-sock look was kind of weird. Perhaps relatedly, Brennan said he was tied down, that the tie came open during the fight. Given his reaction in the penalty box and the fact that he’s been doing this for a long time, I’d guess he’s not lying.

Rodney was in camp last year with Bridgeport.

Bears-Senators was postponed to Wednesday.

Mike Vaccaro of that other Post presents his NYC holiday classics.

Sorry for the quickness. Supposed to be somewhere, and waiting for Tambellini didn’t make it easier…
