One in, one out

While Tim Jackman skated today — and Pascal Morency may be closer than I thought, day-to-day, in fact — the Sound Tigers sent Jeremy Colliton up to the Island and received Kip Brennan back. Bentivoglio does indeed appear good to go.

Now, how do you sort out those lines? Don’t answer yet. They may try to bring in another centerman. Or other things may sort out of the Islanders’ game tomorrow night at Pittsburgh. Or nothing may happen. There are still two days before they play again. It’s funny; five days off is a long time anytime, but it seems even longer at this point in the season.

Meanwhile, yesterday was the 50th anniversary of the Kingston Trio’s first recording session. They laid down six songs, including “Tom Dooley,” which somehow found its way onto the air that fall and sparked the folk-music revival of the late ’50s and early ’60s.

And finally, forgot to mention: my RSS reader fed me two things from the New York Post late Sunday evening. One was a generic link: “GIANTS WIN” by “Post Wire Services.” The other was another generic link: “GIANTS LOSE” by “Post Staff Reports.” Fortunately, “lose” went to a page-not-found link…
