Days like this are eerie. Decent enough game, you know you can pick several different angles.

And then stuff like the Morency incident happen, and you just don’t want to get up and go downstairs. For as much as you tell yourself “precaution,” you think back to Blaine Down. You hear he may have hit his head on the dashers, and you think back to Kevin Colley.

I’m tired of knowing too much about the anatomy of the cervical vertebrae.

Thankfully, it sounds like it’ll be OK. So on to that header, which was Bridgeport’s record after the first Providence game, Dec. 14.

Since, they are 20-10. (Why, yes, that does include five shootout victories. No comment.)

Mark Wotton talked about not being satisfied now that they wake up in fourth place. Which is true. Sometimes you get to your early goal, and you subconsciously ease up. They’ve got four games in five nights again next week, including two against Albany, and any let-up could be brutal.

But they have done a fine job to get here. Jack Capuano talked about their scoring by committee, and there it was, Smith again, Bentivoglio getting involved, Jackman doing everything he can once again, Walter involved (if only serving as decoy), and Regier popping in two.

Fourth place. It’s a little different than that night in Providence.

First Sound Tigers game for ref Tudor Floru. He is apparently beloved in some circles. The Wolf Pack might be among those circles after he gave them two penalties 32 seconds into the game.

It’s the fifth time Bridgeport has won four games in five nights.

Neat note from Peoria on Sondra Baseggio’s work in the Peoria community.

Little Mac’s sparring partner, Danny Bois, is back with Binghamton.

Buffalo News story on Richard Zednik.
