A win? In Wilkes-Barre?

Trevor Smith gives his seal of approval to the light-up nets that Wilkes-Barre uses. He didn’t see the puck go in when he scored, but he saw the posts light up.

At least, until Sean Bentivoglio almost killed him in the celebration.

Just a gritty, get-it-done road effort, contributions up and down the lineup. And since it’s snowing and I’m sick, that’s what I’m gonna do here. Keep it simple. Short shifts.

And hope to get home alive. You know what happened the last time they won here.

Has Tom Rowe snuck into Bridgeport’s room to do the warmup lines? Actual combos, in order of game appearance: Keith-Colliton-Okposo; Regier-Walter-Jackman; Bentivoglio-Smith-Bourne.

ECHL transactions note that Mike Mole is on his way up. One of the goalies may be going up at some point this weekend to fill in for Rick DiPietro, whose grandmother died Thursday. Capuano said he hadn’t heard anything about that, one way or the other. A forward is likely to go today for Frans Nielsen. Cannot go wrong with Colliton: excellent night. Killed probably a minute of penalties himself.

Morency said he got the unsportsmanlike minor for the snow-spray on Curry. Based on when I saw Brown make the signal — after Morency got knocked over — I half-thought he was calling diving. Dunno.

The full Clear Day lists are on the AHL site.

Jeff Hamilton piece from Phil in Schenectady.

And finally, RIP, Mike Smith, the lead singer of the Dave Clark Five. Play a little “Glad All Over” or “Try Too Hard” at high volume…
