Midweek stuff

Joey MacDonald back, Mike Mole down. Mark Wotton (groin) didn’t skate. The lines looked similar to the weekend’s, but Jack Capuano said they could change.

It’s getting toward draft-pick-watch time. Jesse Joensuu’s season in Finland is over; he’s a possibility to come over. (Assat Pori finished last. Ouch.) Robin Figren is hurt, but his Edmonton Oil Kings’ season ends next week. Tomas Marcinko’s Barrie Colts have made the OHL playoffs.

Maybe Buffalo-Rochester is still possible? (Like I said — this feels too darn familiar.)

As the ECHL trade deadline passes, Bakersfield had all kinds of Sound Tigers-related things going on. The Condors picked up Martin Frechette from Utah for Evan Kotsopoulos; yesterday, they sent one-game Tiger Todd Griffith to South Carolina for two players, one of whom, Derrick Byfuglien, went to camp with Bridgeport in 2003. Meanwhile, Cody Rudkowsky goes to Cincinnati.

Uni Watch points out that most of the teams at the World Championship will wear a throwback jersey for one game each; the U.S. goes with Squaw Valley. Neat story about the man who has the last ball Brett Favre passed (it’s not Corey Webster).

And finally… Shakey goes one-on-one with Silly. Beautiful.
