"Tonight's prey…"

“Done,” as a commenter said? A little strong. With the games in hand and the two against Hershey, they can’t be done until, at earliest, next Friday.

But this certainly hurts.

A 2-0 lead against a team that’s struggling to stay alive. A lineup bulked up for this game (and this game only — the same three were going back up). And it turns around in a heartbeat.

Somebody called it “ugly” afterward. Can you afford an ugly game on March 19? I’ll leave that one out there.

In response to a diminishing number of requests: It’s East Watch ’08! Get a graphical look at the remainder of the season. Check out how those Bridgeport games in hand just mean a heck of a lot of four-in-fives. Get a link to the Hockey Rodent’s way-cooler BerthWatch for the NHL. New this year: Links to box scores! (Please contain your excitement.) Should Albany slip downward — or these three slip upward — we’ll get the Rats in here, too. But that’s slightly less likely after tonight: Here’s probably the only good thing about the night for the Sound Tigers.

Fata missed about the last 13 minutes of the second and the first three minutes of the third with a broken skate.

Worcester is apparently wearing darks at home again this year. That means Bridgeport has to wear its lights, which are the oranges. Yeah.

It’s an organizational thing: Looks like Ted Nolan wasn’t much happy after Tuesday.

And more from that family: Brandon Nolan is still suffering from that Scott Ford hit, Phil Janack reports.

Jesse Joensuu is expected to arrive this weekend, and the plan remains to work with him but not necessarily play him.

Wilkes-Barre played, so you know what they did. And Philly took a late lead, gave it back and lost in OT to cling now to a one-point lead.
