(Some seem more rooted in reality than others, but it’s good stuff, anyway. To Erik’s excellent status list: I think Spiller, Jackman and Keith should be unrestricted, and as noted, Fretter is an AHL contract. And just a hunch: If Dubielewicz is forced to settle for an AHL contract, he would get much bigger offers elsewhere than he would here.)
Back in the present: Trevor Smith is back in town. Steve Regier said there’s no fracture. Tyler Haskins is going back to Utah for the playoffs; Medicine Hat captain Daine Todd, one-time teammate of Regier’s in junior, is in for a look-see.
The Bears will at least be without Sami Lepisto. Edit: Tim Leone says Tyler Sloan went up, too.
