Looks like a Cyclone hit it

Congrats to Kelly Cup champ Cincinnati, which finished it off in six with a 3-1 win. They packed standing room people in and set a league record. David Desharnais led the league in playoff scoring. (Thanks, Ump, for keeping us up to date.)

And so our buddy Jonathan gets his wish: He’s “the last working hockey beat writer on the continent” right now. Congrats, man!

Frightening news out of Canada, where Hockey Night in Canada plans to change theme songs next year. Might as well change “O Canada” while you’re at it. Heck, change the name of the network. Maybe the country.

Looks like a long road trip in March 2011 is possible. (Maybe the 72-game schedule will help out by then.)
