Back at work, we may have confirmed a couple of things… Namely, Vladimir Nikiforov, Long Island’s own, should be on an AHL deal, though he’s mostly for Utah. Also, they apparently don’t intend to have a fifth goaltender under contract; they’ll keep tabs on Utah’s for when they need someone. The plan appears to be that Nathan Lawson and Mike Mole, last year’s tandem, will both be back.
That Rookie Game a couple of weeks from now will have a $10 admission charge. Proceeds are intended for a scholarship fund in memory of Nathan Crowell, the University of New Haven student who died during a hockey game at Shelton last year.
