Yesterday's entry today

Hey, way not to post. What, you think you can just write a story and be done? Anyway, with some updates and annotations…

The numerical roster. Tales of interest:

–Mannino becomes the first No. 1 since 2001-02. He’s already tied for second-most games played in that number.
–Fraser moves to 3, Kohn to 5, Bentivoglio to 14, Haskins to 10.
–Joensuu in 6. There has to be a story.

1 Peter Mannino G
2 Andrew MacDonald D
3 Jamie Fraser D
4 Mark Wotton D
5 Dustin Kohn D
6 Jesse Joensuu LW
8 Tomas Marcinko RW
9 Ben Walter C
10 Tyler Haskins RW
11 Rob Hennigar C
14 Sean Bentivoglio LW
16 Tim Jackman RW
17 Jason Pitton LW
18 Micheal Haley C
20 Andy Sertich D
21 Jeremy Colliton C
22 Joel Rechlicz RW
23 Trevor Smith C
24 Chris Lee D
25 Joe Callahan D
27 Vladimir Nikiforov LW
29 Mitch Fritz LW

71 Kurtis McLean C

Morency, who would still be 55, is still here but not skating; he has immigration paperwork to clear up.

Sixsmith and Lawson are going back to Utah. Nikiforov makes the opening roster. “He deserves it,” Capuano said. “He had a great camp in Moncton, a good camp here. It’s the merit system.”

Smith was at the doctor again, bookending his NHL stint nicely. Here’s today’s lines:

Bentivoglio-Hennigar-Jackman
Nikiforov-Colliton-Joensuu
McLean-Marcinko-Iggulden
Pitton/Fritz/Haskins/Rechlicz
Fraser-Wotton
Kohn-MacDonald
Sertich-Callahan

Cleaning up yesterday: A.J. Bucchino went back to Augusta.

Nice Cail MacLean feature.

Olivier Labelle didn’t make Manitoba.

Michael Russo linked to the NHL’s rule-enforcement video. The Sound Tigers were going to watch it today.
