Mirtle notes an interesting quirk in the NHL schedule: everybody’s playing Saturday, while nobody’s playing Sunday. Down here, Saturday’s schedule includes the maximum 14 games for the second week in a row, though there are seven games Sunday. So, out of the 59 teams in North America’s top two leagues, the only one not playing Saturday is Providence.
