“They’re rioting in Africa/There’s strife in Iran”

A little while ago, I typed that someone would be playing key minuets this season. Yes, this was a hockey piece. I probably need a nap. Sleep for a few minuets.

But a couple of few things while we await Bridgeport’s first game against a West Division team since Dec. 14, 2003, Game 20 of The Streak, and the first against a Western Conference team since Jan. 29, 2006, the afternoon of six five-on-threes:

Game called by darkness.

Kevin Provencher has rolled out a new blog to supplement the Union Leader’s stuff. Unfortunately, New Hampshire is as much a rumor this year as is Winnipeg. (Hat tip, again: Tris Wykes.)

–And finally, we haven’t played Fill In The Punchline lately: Patrice Bergeron was originally credited with a shootout-prolonging goal Saturday night; replay showed it hit the post to Henrik Lundqvist’s left and never went in.
