…and the Battery's down

No unexpected changes or surprises at Shelton this morning. All yesterday’s moves were completed. Capuano expects the status quo through the weekend.

The only semi-interesting roster thing, really, is that Sillinger isn’t coming in until Sunday. So that scrapped the Sillinger feature. Here’s what Jack Capuano might have said in such a story: “Mike’s an integral part of the New York Islanders,” Capuano said. “Again, to have a guy like that around us, like Mark Parrish was for the short time, it’s good to have a guy like that so the guys can feed off him, how he prepares for games, how he prepares for practice. They can learn a lot, especially faceoffs as well.”

Went instead for an overdue bit on Smith-McLean-Iggulden.

Gotta love a Wally Pipp reference in a hockey story.

Billy Tibbetts is gone again.

And finally, as a proud Van Nest native: Whoa. (Hat tip: BoogieDowner.)
