Progress

By the way, with thanks to Jason Chaimovitch at the league office, we have proof of how far Mike Sillinger has come.

His last AHL game was May 11, 1993. The Springfield Indians (remember them?) defeated Sillinger’s Adirondack Red Wings (remember them?), 6-5, in overtime. Among the names that may draw a “heh”: Adirondack’s Micah Aivazoff, Allan Bester, Jim Cummins (no longer alone in Bridgeport history, but still), Sylvain Couturier, Slava Kozlov, Darren McCarty, Chris Tancill, Dennis Vial, Gord Kruppke and Stewart Malgunas; Springfield’s Paul Cyr, Scott Daniels, Chris Govedaris, Paul Guay, Mikael Nylander, Robert Petrovicky, John Stevens, Trevor Stienburg, and, with 58 saves (17 in 17 minutes of overtime), George Maneluk.

In front of 3,943 at Glens Falls Civic Center, Mike Sillinger had a measly two assists.
