Sometimes we’re bound for Liverpool…

Hadn’t heard that song more than, oh, the 35 times they played it in those two games at Mile One in 2002. Now it’s stuck in my head. Yikes.

Anyway. The ECHL transactions say that Utah has loaned semi-vet Dennis Packard to Bridgeport. He’s 5-6-11 in 11 games for the Grizzlies. Too many Ivy Leaguers around here.

Meant to mention this yesterday, but did you see, when Pascal Morency got the minor penalty, he was pointing to his skate? He needed some repairs done. Frederic L’Ecuyer let him go to the bench instead of going to the room, and Mike Iggulden served the penalty for him. Had never seen that before.

(Two games with L’Ecuyer; 10 total power plays. Not bad.)

Bryan Trottier is reportedly in town until Wednesday.

Mitch Fritz’s brother, Luke, didn’t win the Grey Cup yesterday with the Montreal Alouettes. But at least Mitch was there to see it. (Former Bunnell star Shannon James, on the other hand, did win the Grey Cup.)

And — I didn’t promise this’d be good, did I? No? Good — I’ll give you till tomorrow to chew over the very, very provincial trivia question one more time. Yes, New Haven has something to do with it.
