Cool news out of Toronto, where Stratford’s Jaime Sifers has been recalled to the Leafs to go on their western swing. The Leafs have Jonas Frogren and Mike Van Ryn on IR and wanted a seventh defenseman on the trip. If he gets in — and Tim Wharnsby reports that Ron Wilson wants him to get in — it’ll be his NHL debut.
Karl Alzner got hurt last night, too. No call-up from Hershey yet; in fact, Chris Bourque came back down. Nothing has hurt the Bears, who had 12 goals in about their past 75 minutes after Oskar Osala opened the scoring today.
Andrew Hutchinson goes to Dallas; Lauri Tukonen, erstwhile Nokelainen/Korpikoski linemate, is on the move again. (His rights are, anyway.)
