If you're gonna take two minutes with the Anthem, get the words right: Norfolk I liveblog

-Underway with Ghislain Hebert running the show.

Stats. Scratches look like Kohn, Fraser, MacDonald, Marcinko, Morency, Hennigar and Lawson. No Gratton for Norfolk; Downie, yes, though.

-Teddy Bear Toss underway as Brandon Segal scores just after a Norfolk power play. 1-0, Admirals.

-Teddy Bear Toss complete.

-Jeremy Colliton has an apparent goal disallowed because of a deflection with a high stick 11:26 in. Sounded like a Chris Lee shot. Pete Michaud calls it “an amazing mid-air deflection,” and he’s not sure it’s a good call after watching the replay. But it’s no goal.

-BTW, if you need the audio link: audio link.

-Brett Leonhardt’s NHL career is apparently over. Aw.

-Quick-strike Potulny wraparound gets the Admirals a two-goal lead 18:27 into the first. Two games, Norfolk has a 5-0 advantage in first per…. oops. Sean Bentivoglio comes right back and scores for the Sound Tigers to cut the lead in half. Two goals in two games for Bentivoglio.

-That’s it for one, 2-1 Norfolk. “We outplayed the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in that first period, for sure,” Pat Shetler says.

-Looks from the plus-minus as if D-pairs are Hillen-Callahan, Gleed-Skinner and Lee-Wotton, which is reminiscent of the way they finished up Sunday.

-As the second begins, Pat Shetler says another look at the replay has Colliton’s stick at his hip when he deflected home that puck midway through the first.

-Mathieu Curadeau flips one out of play from his own zone, and have I mentioned lately how much I hate that rule? No? Oh well.

-Shots are 11-2 in Bridgeport’s favor this period with 9:10 to play, as Mike Iggulden takes a goaltender-interference minor to cancel the Curadeau minor.

-Shots: 18-7 in the second, 25-12 in the game. Norfolk still leads 2-1, end of two.

Moving stuff: Interesting on TSN right now: There’s a radio report that the Quad City Flames would move to Abbotsford, British Columbia. (The Flames, in Moline, are ahead of only Lowell in the attendance figures.) Here’s a newspaper story along those lines from today. (Abbotsford’s about an hour east of Vancouver.) Overnight update: Calgary denies the report.

-Like that, Kurtis McLean ties it up on the first shot of the third period.

-With Colliton in the box for hooking, the Admirals take the lead back on a deflection of some sort.

-Halfway through the third, shots are 31-15 for Bridgeport, and goals are still 3-2 for Norfolk.

-Good home win for Bingo tonight against Portland. Meanwhile, the Rangers have erased a 5-1 Devils lead in Newark…

-And like that, the Devils take the lead back.

-Bochenski goes in for interference with five minutes left. Big spot, blah blah blah.

-Time out, Bridgeport, with 1:15 or so to go – and an icing off the restart gets Mannino to the bench.

-And that’ll do it. Norfolk apparently only needed to face Bridgeport a few times. Norfolk 3, Bridgeport 2, with the rematch tomorrow. Haven’t been thinking much about the rear-view mirror in a while, but if Philly and Wilkes-Barre hold onto their leads, they’ll both be just five points back.

-While the window is still up: A solid apparent night in the Show for Jaime Sifers: Even, four shots, three hits, a takeaway and a block.
