Double teamed

A Sound Tigers first: David Banfield and Frederick L’Ecuyer will work this one together. Two refs will often work an AHL game if one or both are moving up; they’re both working NHL games this year.

Tambellini is back up top, obviously. To answer Robbie’s comment (too late, because the lines below will answer it for him), it was going to be one of the scratches for a couple of reasons: one, with the NHL’s holiday roster freeze in effect, players can’t come back down unless they were called up under emergency conditions (and even then I think there may be exceptions). And two, they didn’t have to send anybody down for Tambellini, because while a guy is down on conditioning, he’s technically still an NHL player. He counts against the 23-man roster and draws his NHL salary.

Bridgeport is missing an ‘A’, at least in warmup.
