Buy ya a soda after the game

It’s a “Slap Shot” soundtrack kind of early-afternoon.

Right Back Where We Started From: As you may have already seen from Logan and Botta, Wade Dubielewicz was claimed by Columbus. As the Dispatch points out, the Blue Jackets have their own No. 1 goaltender who may or may not be done for the year. If Pascal Leclaire comes back, and the Jackets want to keep him and Steve Mason around, Dubielewicz would have to be waived. And by that time, who knows.

Peter Mannino is apparently driving down from Binghamton, while Len DiCostanzo will presumably pass him in the other direction somewhere in the Poconos around two hours in. (There’s this awesome Italian/Spanish fusion restaurant… Aw, no time, probably.)

The longer-term solution is unclear at this point. But Frederic Cloutier would also have to clear waivers and obtain his release. (Just kidding.) (Hi, Tom!)

A Little Bit South of Saskatoon: The Islanders are moving their training camp to Saskatchewan, according to the Star Phoenix. Lake Placid to Wheeling to Yarmouth to Moncton to Saskatoon… Next, presumably, is Yellowknife.

Lady of Spain… Sorry, I got nothing. But of note elsewhere: Onetime Sound Tigers killer Ryan Stone was dealt from Pittsburgh along with Dany Sabourin in a deal for Mathieu Garon. So, instead of playing Bridgeport three more times with Wilkes-Barre, he could play them three more times with Springfield.
