Ballots and Bandwagons: Fake Team Awards IV

The rolls keep growing, folks: 14 voters cast their ballots this week (and thank you for it). Here are your winners, both in fair runaways:

Fan Favorite goes to Pascal Morency, and you know what? That’s probably why he’s here for you to vote for him. Morency may be this team’s best ambassador. Friendly off the ice, crowd-pleasing on the ice, he’s tailor-made for the award.

Similarly overwhelming the vote for Seventh Player (performance beyond expectations), won by third-line centerman and penalty-killing dynamo Tyler Haskins. Haskins spent part of last season here, turned that into a regular gig this season and is a pretty integral piece of the puzzle, all on an AHL deal. One imagines he has earned an NHL contract next year.

The Three Stars Award is still undetermined (and could go different ways, depending on the criteria we decide to use). The winner will be announced sometime after Saturday’s game.

VOTING: FAN FAVORITE: Morency 8, Haskins 2, McLean 1, Smith 1, Fritz 1, Lawson 1. SEVENTH PLAYER: Haskins 8, Sim 2, Joensuu 2, Lee 1, Lawson 1.
