The Brakettes beat the New York Freedom late Saturday to advance to face those pesky Breakers (and probably Bristol’s Sara Plourde again). Kasey Barrett rebounded nicely to pitch the shutout for the Brakettes.
Meanwhile, the winners bracket produced the NYC Havoc, a team that lost its two pool-play games, a team that few people had even heard of last week. They have made few mistakes to get through to the final.
