Yes, a playoff race

While the hockey world marvels at the Burke Blockbusters, the Sound Tigers meet another team they may have to knock out in a (crossover) playoff race. They’re four points ahead of Norfolk, which is in fourth place on points percentage in the East Division. (They’re also in sixth place in their own division, of course, which isn’t enough.)

Gannon and Morency in; Klementyev and Rechlicz out. No Fritz for the Admirals, but former Sound Tigers Mark Parrish and Ryan Cruthers are here. Defenseman Ryan McGinnis, who finished the season with Albany last year, is in for Norfolk on a PTO and taking over No. 3 from Lukas Krajicek.
