Winnipeg gone…

…because they’re back in The Show (and selling season tickets, as hard as they can). The AHL released this statement congratulating Mark Chipman, et al, for bringing the NHL back to Winnipeg. Chipman has been a big part of the leadership of the AHL; as Dave Andrews’ statement mentions, it’s 10 years ago this week that the IHL 6 joined the league, with Chipman leading the way. He, and the market, will be missed.

Where do the Moose go? Patrick Williams, at MTS Centre today, says True North expects them to have a home for next year “in short order.” St. John’s continues to work at it.

Jeff Schultz of the Atlanta Journal Constitution has some strong words. Puck Daddy called to see if the Thrashers were still selling season tickets this morning; take a guess.

Closer to home this morning: RIP, Andy Robustelli.
