Break from the break

Kevin Poulin, assigned back to Bridgeport this morning, wasn’t back on the ice at Wonderland today after winning in Carolina last night, but pretty much everybody else was, coming out of the break. Status quo, Brent Thompson expected, aside from Poulin’s imminent arrival. Leni DiCostanzo held down the other net from Anders Nilsson in Poulin’s absence. Sean Backman practiced. Tony Romano was in Rhett Rakhshani’s spot; lineup looked relatively familiar otherwise, with a tweak or two. A couple of days until they play again.

The box from Saturday’s game at Syracuse has been “fixed.” I hedge that “fix” because, though they’ve corrected the time on the Haley goal and given the last penalty to Colliton instead of Oleksy, if you look closely, there’s still another hole. (If you’re looking for proof that a certain statistic is bunk, especially for forwards, you’ve got evidence there.) Thursday edit: It’s now fixed, adding a third Bridgeport forward on the ice for the McMillan goal.

Yup.

And RIP, Carrie Selivanov and Don Cornelius.

We’ll chat Thursday at 1:30. It’ll be on this file.
