Katic back

Mark Katic had no idea if that shoulder surgery was going to cost him the season. It could have. But here he is, making his apparent season debut today at Providence.

Aaron Ness got called up Sunday in case Mark Eaton couldn’t play (Dylan Reese reported with the flu), but the Islanders reassigned him back down before their gametime at 3. No help for the Sound Tigers, is that, but he’ll be back. Russ Sinkewich is on the ice for warmup, too (paired with Katic in the rushes, in fact) so he could be making his Bridgeport debut; there’s one to scratch for Bridgeport, and Jon Landry was on a knee as the lines rushed the first time or two, so looks like him. Edit: Landry is scratched. Lines all shook up for Bridgeport, though it reunites one that got things going pretty well about 11 months ago.

Laundry list of Providence warmup-jersey and press-box location complaints left unstated for once, I’ll fix things on their lines if I have to. Think I got it, though.
