The line of Juraj Kolnik, Jason Krog and Trent Hunter had been together for most of a couple of months, but with the Sound Tigers down 1-0 in the series and 1-0 in this Saturday-night Game 2, they needed a jolt. Steve Stirling temporarily moves Pat Leahy up with Krog and Hunter in the second, and they click for a Leahy tying goal. Marko Tuomainen scores on a power play later in the period, and Rick DiPietro makes big saves to preserve a 2-1 win. The series is tied headed out to Rosemont. If the series comes back to Bridgeport, it’d be next Thursday and Friday, June 6 and 7. Game 3, though, is Thursday, May 30. (We’ll fly out on Wednesday and make a pilgrimage to the South Side.)
