A busier hockey night

On third-period goals from defenseman Simon Gysbers (his first of the playoffs) and Matt Frattin (his 10th, into an empty net) gave Toronto a 3-1 win over Oklahoma City and a berth in the Calder Cup Final.

So after a five-game conference final there and a sweep in the East, it’s Admirals-Marlies. The final begins a week from tonight, June 1 in Norfolk; Game 7 would be June 15.

Kirill Kabanov was held off the scoreboard, but his Shawinigan team beat Saint John 7-4 in the Memorial Cup semifinal tonight. They’ll face the London Knights on Sunday night for the title.

And more randomly than usual, seen on Uni Watch: kinda neat Yankees patch.
